What's Tanzania got that India doesn't?

Hi ,

I just found out that on the banks of Lake Natron in Tanzania, the Tatas were planning a soda ash plant, which would have posed a serious threat to the survival of flamingos and the livelihoods of local communities. Now, under huge public pressure there, the Tatas have pulled the plug on this project.

But the same Tatas are still building a destructive port in Dhamra, that threatens to send the endangered Olive Ridley Turtles into extinction.

So, either flamingos are cuter and therefore more deserving of protection than the turtles are. Or then the good folk in Tanzania are better than all of us at making a corporation behave responsibly.

Whatever it is, it's got to change. We've got to stop that port. The Tanzanians have proven that public pressure works. Now it's our turn.

My daughter joins Piano Tuitions

The time is of vacations. Jashavi got the results of her 1st standard class and now is going to go in to 2nd standard. I was insisting to my wife that she should learn something and utilise her time. After many lengthy discussions, running over days, we finally decided for a Piano Tuition.

Well, she joined it and now a Piano is required. We are planning to go for MA150 Model of Casio. We had gone searching for it yesterday at Big Bazaar Shopping Mall, Kandivali, but they did not had it.

Now I am planning to visit a few more electronic shops / toy shops.

Right now she plays paino of her friend while learning. Turn by turn they learn.

I think learning Music will help her in learning how to concentrate, and this is what I think is very important in life.
